Senior Estimator - Engineering & Construction
A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a
Senior Estimator
to support major industrial, pharmaceutical, and high-tech facility projects.
You will develop accurate cost estimates during early design stages, work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, and help guide junior estimators.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed project cost estimates from drawings, models, and design documents.
Establish cost rates using supplier quotes, historical data, and industry benchmarks.
Produce structured estimates, BOQs, cost plans, tender documents, and clear assumptions/risk narratives.
Conduct internal reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
Collaborate with Project Controls and project teams to support cost management.
Participate in meetings, design reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Experience & Skills
5+ years' estimating experience (pharma, semiconductor, or industrial projects preferred).
Strong technical understanding across CSA, M&E, Process, and Automation disciplines.
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation software.
Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in fast-paced environments with high attention to detail.
Commitment to safe working practices and professional development.
Must-Haves
Proven cost estimation expertise on engineering/construction projects.
Ability to interpret Basis of Design (BOD) and prepare robust estimates.
Experience producing detailed BOQs, cost plans, and tender documentation.
Confident engaging with designers, clients, and suppliers.
