Senior Underwriter Role
We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the position of Senior Underwriter. As part of our team, you will be responsible for assessing new applications and determining medical and financial requirements in line with company philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess new applications and determine medical and financial requirements in line with company philosophy
* Evaluate complex medical and financial risks, including large case management
* Liaise with Chief Medical Officer and reinsurers
* Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Communicate effectively with brokers, employers, customers, and medical professionals
Requirements:
* Several years of relevant underwriting experience
* Strong analytical reasoning and decision-making capabilities
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Commercial awareness and customer-focused mindset
* Organised approach with a positive, solution-focused attitude
* Knowledge of risk, control, and regulatory requirements
* Broad systems and data analysis skills
* Diploma in Life & Disability Underwriting DLDU or working towards equivalent qualification
