Facilities & Maintenance Technician
Full-Time | On-Site | Galway (Ballybrit)
This is a Monday–Friday, daytime role with no formal on-call rotation.
Are you a skilled Maintenance or Facilities Technician looking for a role where you can take ownership, work on a wide variety of equipment, and be the go-to expert on site? We're hiring an experienced Facilities & Maintenance Technician to support a regulated production environment at our Galway facility.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for maintaining and improving a highly regulated manufacturing site, ensuring equipment, utilities, and facilities operate smoothly. This is a hands-on position where you'll work closely with the Site Lead and Production team to troubleshoot issues, support production uptime, and carry out both planned and reactive maintenance.
What You'll Do
1. Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment, utilities, and site facilities
2. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues
3. Manage equipment servicing schedules and documentation
4. Perform calibrations and support validation activities
5. Support utilities such as compressed air, RO/mains water, and air handling systems
6. Coordinate with third-party contractors when required
7. Implement improvements to enhance reliability, safety, and efficiency
8. Handle minor facilities work (e.g., small repairs, hardware fixes, painting)
9. Ensure compliance with all site Health & Safety and Quality requirements
What You Bring
10. Electrical or Mechanical Trade Qualification or relevant technical diploma
11. Strong hands-on experience in equipment maintenance within manufacturing, field service, or production environments
12. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic systems
13. Experience diagnosing faults and delivering effective solutions
14. Ability to work independently and support a small, collaborative site team
15. Proactive approach with strong organisation and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
16. Experience with HVAC systems or cleanroom environments
17. Calibration or validation experience
18. Computer literacy / familiarity with maintenance systems
