Senior Network Engineer
Abbott Laboratories is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead the technical aspects of our global Wide Area Network (WAN) services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Troubleshoot complex network issues, including WAN, SD-WAN, LAN, and WLAN.
* Design and improve network monitoring and observability capabilities.
* Develop expertise in routing protocols, such as EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, GRE, IPSEC, MPLS, STP, HSRP, OMP, NAT, and VPN.
* Define WAN architecture and hardware requirements for project proposals.
* Collaborate with customers, peer technologists, and senior management to resolve network-related issues.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Telecommunication, or related field.
* 8+ years of networking experience with multinational enterprises of 5000+ users.
* Expertise in designing enterprise-scale routing and switching environments, MPLS/VPN, SD-WAN, WLAN, Cisco ISE and Identity/Authentication solutions, Intrusion Prevention, Cloud Security, Firewalls, Monitoring Tools, Network Topologies, Load balancing, and WAN acceleration/QoS.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Telecommunications.
* Active certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCSE, CCIE.
* Experience working in regulated environments and healthcare-related industries.

* Cisco Routers and Switches.
* Cisco/Viptela SDWAN or SDWAN technologies.
* Riverbed WAN Optimizers.
* Infoblox.

* Check Point Firewalls.
