The candidate will have experience in preparing accounts, strong IT and interpersonal skills, and a proactive "can do" attitude. This is a key position within the Finance team with opportunities for the right candidate to gain excellent commercial experience supporting the FD and leadership team. We are based on the west coast of Ireland with an extensive pipeline of work in the commercial, education, healthcare, hospitality, and residential sectors.ResponsibilitiesPreparation of month end management accounts including reporting and analysisPost month end journalsMaintaining balance sheet reconciliationsAssist in creating a detailed audit file and support the year end audit processOverseeing banking, intercompany and sales reportingMonthly reporting on projectsContribute to the preparation of budgets and reconciliationsEnsure compliance with regulatory legislation for financial and tax reportingParticipate in ongoing development and review of accounting and cost management systems, internal controls, and processesContribute to other commercial and financial projects as requiredRequirementsQualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent)Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, advanced knowledge of ExcelExperience of working with systems, preferably Xero and Live CostsExceptional communication skills with the ability to liaise and direct across multiple departmentsThe role will be office-based. Work hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00 with a 1-hour lunch break. Construction-related experience is preferred but not essential. Flexible start date for the right candidate, ideally ASAP.
