Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Legal Secretary to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing legal documents, such as court papers and contracts, as well as accompanying solicitors to police cells or the courtroom.
* Producing legal documentation including court papers and contracts.
* Accompanying solicitors to police cells or the courtroom.
* Handling all telephone calls in a professional manner.
* Managing petty cash while maintaining accurate records of costs.
* Scheduling appointments for your employer.
* Providing general administrative support.
* Utilizing an in-house database system.
* Scheduling court depositions, hearings, and other meetings.
* Filing documents accurately with the court ahead of deadlines.
* Transcribing and proofreading legal documents.
Qualifications:
* 1+ years' experience as a paralegal or legal secretary.
* Proficiency in legal terminology and documents.
* Working knowledge of litigation management software systems.
* Able to type at a speed of at least 50 wpm with high accuracy.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
* Effective prioritization and meeting deadlines.
