About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Technician with a strong background in Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) to support the engineering Manager. This role is key to implementing a proactive, reliability-focused maintenance strategy, including condition monitoring, PPM, and OEE improvement projects. The successful candidate will lead and support technical initiatives that drive equipment performance, minimize downtime, and enhance operational efficiency across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a structured maintenance program aligned with best practices and operational targets.
* Manage condition monitoring systems to proactively identify equipment degradation and avoid unplanned downtime.
* Coordinate and supervise electrical and instrumentation (E&I) maintenance activities, including PPM schedules.
* Troubleshoot and repair faults across electrical systems, control panels, PLCs, HMIs, and instrumentation.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A time-served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent Level 6/7 qualification in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation.
* 5+ years of experience in a similar role within FMCG, food & beverage, or high-volume manufacturing environments.
* Proven experience implementing and managing maintenance programs and condition-based monitoring.
* Hands-on experience with PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley), drives, controls, and calibration of industrial instrumentation.
* Working knowledge of OEE systems and performance improvement tools.
