The M&E Maintenance Officer will be responsible for responding to day-to-day requests from building users for urgent repairs to mechanical and electrical systems and infrastructure. This includes kitchen equipment and other services deemed necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
* Respond quickly and effectively to requests for day-to-day emergency maintenance and repairs to Mechanical and Electrical Services installations and equipment in all properties.
* Carry out regular visits to properties in relation to day-to-day maintenance problems and planned maintenance programmes.
* Appoint and supervise contractors of various disciplines to carry out maintenance repairs and planned maintenance projects.
* Issue and be accountable for works orders to contractors, for maintenance works and tendered projects.
* Inspect, supervise and instruct Contractors of various disciplines in relation to the quality of work in progress.
* Co-operate with relevant stakeholders to enable maintenance projects to be carried out effectively and in compliance with relevant legislation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A HNC / HND or equivalent in Mechanical & Electrical discipline with a minimum 2 years' post qualified experience.
* OR A ONC or equivalent in Mechanical & Electrical discipline with a minimum of 4 years' post qualified experience.
* OR A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Mechanical & Electrical discipline.
* Proven ability to achieve challenging targets and objectives through the engagement of teams.
* Proven ability of building high performance teams, delivering and achieving effective results on time and solving problems through informed decision making.
* Proven ability of building and promoting a strong and consistent Service Delivery culture throughout a large complex and multi-site organisation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical and Electrical maintenance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
