Key Responsibilities Prepare and assist in the creation of pastries, desserts, breads, and baked goods in line with menu requirements and senior chef guidance Stay informed about the day's business and special offerings Support menu planning discussions with the wider kitchen team under supervision Ensure all prepared items meet the approved presentation and quality standards Minimise wastage and manage portions cost-effectively and responsibly under direction Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene throughout storage, preparation, and service Comply with HACCP regulations within the kitchen and all Food Beverage outlets Report any maintenance issues to your supervisor to ensure kitchen equipment is always in working order Assist with station setup and mise en place to support smooth service operations The Ideal Candidate Has 1 to 2 years of professional pastry or kitchen experience in a hotel or fine-dining environment Demonstrates genuine passion and commitment to developing pastry skills Holds a pastry or culinary qualification (desirable) Courteous and committed to high customer service standards Detail-oriented and standards-driven Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Eager to learn and develop under the mentorship of our experienced Pastry Sous Chef Why Join Sheraton Athlone Hotel?
