**Product Design Leader Position**
This leadership role involves overseeing a team to drive product innovation, ensuring designs meet technical requirements and are cost-efficient. The successful candidate will analyze engineering drawings, evaluate design concepts for manufacturability, and optimize production processes.
The ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills, be an innovative thinker, and have experience with recruiting and talent development. They must also be able to interpret complex engineering drawings and understand geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing.
The selected individual will lead cross-functional teams to implement new global regulations and ensure designs are reliable, manufacturable, and efficient. They will collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing engineers to resolve issues and develop optimal design solutions.
To succeed in this position, one needs to have excellent analytical skills, be able to plan and organize multiple tasks, and make decisions using independent judgment. Knowledge of packaging standards, statistical tools, and validation techniques is highly desirable.
This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Biomedical, Electrical, or Materials Science) with at least 6 years of experience. A Master's degree or PhD in an engineering field is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze engineering drawings to determine required materials, utilities, and functions based on product characteristics.
* Evaluate and optimize design concepts for mechanical function and manufacturability.
* Lead cross-functional teams to implement new global regulations and ensure designs meet quality objectives.
* Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing engineers to resolve issues and develop optimal design solutions.
* Develop and manage full product design documentation, including generation of production drawings and component testing protocols.
