Division Overview: Supply Chain & Retail This is Uniphar's largest division, leading in the Irish pharmaceutical wholesale, pre-wholesale, and retail pharmacy markets.
It supports over 400 community pharmacies and supplies an additional 500, with ongoing growth and expansion plans.
Role Objective The Quality Operations Lead & DRP supports the Quality Operations Manager CW and the Head of Supply Chain Quality/RP in developing, implementing, and maintaining the SCS Quality Management System (QMS).
The role promotes compliance, leads quality processes, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
Main Duties & Responsibilities Manage the SCS quality management system as the Quality Lead and Deputy Responsible Person.
Support regulatory inspections and liaise with pharmaceutical inspection teams.
Ensure activities comply with Uniphar's Quality standards and SOPs.
Lead and develop the Quality team to achieve organizational goals.
Project manage quality initiatives, ensuring timely delivery.
Lead Deviation and CAPA processes for quality issues.
Develop staff understanding of quality initiatives and facilitate their rollout.
Maintain regulatory standards and procedures in line with regulations.
Identify system improvements and work with technical support to implement solutions.
Analyze audit results and recommend improvements.
Ensure systems meet specifications and organizational goals.
Build relationships with stakeholders and promote continuous improvement.
Prepare and distribute quality reports and KPIs.
Engage in ongoing professional development related to regulations.
Perform other projects as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills Experience in regulated industries (GDP/GMP preferred).
Scientific, Healthcare, or Engineering qualification at 3rd level.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational, analytical, and management skills.
Knowledge of software such as Word, Excel, Q Pulse, and SAP is desirable.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proven record in hosting or participating in audits or inspections.
