The Autonomous Enterprise and Wafer Fab Sustainability team are seeking a talented, dedicated, and multidisciplinary Mechatronics Technician to join our team to support the automation of our semiconductor wafer fabrication facility.
Your mission will be to assist in the development, build, and maintenance of the next generation of physical automation platforms including 6-axis robots, autonomous mobile robots, automated overhead transport, and storage/retrieval systems.
You will work closely with internal teams and utilize your technical skills to build and maintain automation solutions that integrate mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Your commitment to high standards of workmanship will ensure that our automation solutions operate at the highest levels of performance and reliability.
Responsibilities and Expectations
* Build, wire, install, and maintain high-technology autonomous robotic and engineering systems in development.
* Develop preventive maintenance schedules and perform regular checks to ensure optimal performance of automation platforms.
* Diagnose and repair malfunctions or operational issues in robotic systems.
* Program and calibrate robotic systems to meet specific operational requirements.
* Adjust settings to improve efficiency and accuracy.
* Conduct performance tests to ensure systems meet quality standards.
* Implement improvements based on test results and feedback.
* Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and configurations.
* Document procedures and protocols for future reference.
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance.
* Adhere to safety standards and protocols when working with automation systems.
* Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance system performance.

Qualifications & Related Experience
* Level 7 qualification in Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation, Electrical, or related fields.
* Experience in maintenance of physical equipment.
* Experience with industrial automation (e.g., SCADA systems, PLCs, HMIs, communications, robotics, autonomous vehicles, industrial wiring, and controls) is desirable.
