Our medical physics team currently provides physics and radiation protection support in SVUH and to other hospitals in the region. Scientific support is provided to radiology imaging, including nuclear medicine, and other areas, including phototherapy and lasers, and medical physics are deeply involved in delivering a variety of radionuclide therapies with the multidisciplinary team. Staff members contribute to several teaching programs in local third level institutions. There is an active research program in the department, for team members, MSc and PhD students, and there are strong links with University College Dublin.
The successful applicant for the post will contribute to the provision of a high quality medical physics service in SVUH. This role would suit a motivated physicist with experience in radiology and radiation protection.
