Job Title: Calibration and Metrology Technician

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Calibration and Metrology Technician.


About the Role

In this critical position, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of measurement equipment, supporting product quality, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

* Perform calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on a wide variety of equipment: electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, pressure, and hydro-mechanical.
* Ensure calibration activities conform to detailed technical specifications, drawings, and internal standards.
* Set up and execute calibration procedures and sequences, interpreting data and making necessary adjustments.
* Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble test equipment such as gauges, meters, and other measuring devices.
* Maintain and document calibration records in compliance with internal procedures and industry standards (e.g. ISO 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540).
* Support audits and inspections by ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
* Propose and implement improvements to calibration processes and workflows.
* Serve as a technical mentor and resource for junior technicians.
* Participate in small-scale technical projects, developing reports and presenting findings.


Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

* A minimum of 4 years of hands-on calibration/metrology experience in a regulated industry.
* A strong understanding of testing methods, measurement standards, and industry best practices.
* Proficiency with calibration equipment and software (e.g. Fluke, Agilent, CMMS systems).
* The ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and SOPs.
* Vocational or technical education in electronics, instrumentation, engineering technology, or equivalent experience.
* Certification (e.g. ASQ CCT) is a plus but not required.
