Social Care Worker – Mullingar

3Q Recruitment is recruiting a Social Care Worker for a community-based service in Mullingar, supporting young people under 18 and their families affected by substance and alcohol misuse.
This is a meaningful, front-line social care role where you will work directly with young people and families, supporting recovery, wellbeing and resilience in a community setting.
Working Pattern
* 1 day per week in Mullingar
* 1 day per week in Athlone
This arrangement provides continuity for service users and a balanced working week.
The Role
As a Social Care Worker, you will deliver person-centred support to young people and their families, working closely with community, health and education services to promote positive outcomes.
This role is suitable for candidates with experience in community care, youth work, addiction support or social care environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide person-centred support to young people affected by substance or alcohol misuse
* Support parents and families impacted by addiction
* Develop and review individual care and support plans
* Promote recovery, wellbeing and independence
* Liaise with agencies including CAMHS, Tusla, schools, GPs and youth services
* Maintain accurate and confidential case notes and records
* Attend case conferences, meetings and supervision
* Follow Children First, safeguarding and health & safety procedures
Requirements
* Level 7 qualification in Social Care, Counselling, Psychology or a related discipline
* Experience in community, youth or social care settings
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of child protection procedures and Children First guidelines
* Garda Vetting and legal right to work in Ireland
* Full driving licence and access to own transport desirable
Pay & Benefits
* €19.70 per hour
* Daytime shifts
* Double pay on weekends and Bank Holidays
* Mileage allowance for travel between Mullingar and Athlone
