General Insurance offers a broad range of products to customers through a diversified, multichannel distribution network.About The RoleWhat you need to know:ResponsibilitiesSuccessfully underwrite new and renewal accounts to contribute to the profitable development of the Property Portfolio in line with strategy and targets set by management.Work within agreed decision‑making standards, limitations, authorities and underwriting guidelines.Responsible for managing and maintaining all systems associated with the efficient servicing and maintenance of the Profit Centre’s new and existing book of business.Liaising with all our partners to ensure our high level of service standards are continuously maintained.Building and maintaining a sustainable relationship with our brokers based on service, trust and integrity is key to the role and you will be in constant daily communication through email and by phone with brokers delivering these qualities.Ensure file management/documentation is in line with standards.Compliance with key regulatory and risk management responsibilities.Achieve satisfactory ratings on all underwriting quality reviews.What We’re Looking ForPrevious underwriting/broker experience.Ability to work in a busy team and meet strict compliance and renewal deadlines.Proficient in Microsoft 10 applications.Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships, both internally and externally.Adaptable to new platforms/systems.Ability to prioritize workload and to use own initiative for both internal and external issues.Excellent organizational skills with a focus on attention to detail.Ability to source new business opportunities.Progress towards Minimum Competency Requirements as set out by the Financial Regulator and any amendments there to.BenefitsAt AIG, we have a 100‑year legacy of working to make the world a better place.
