Base pay range
ProSource is working with a leading mechanical, electrical and process engineering and contracting company.
Due to their continued expansion they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer.
Role and responsibilities
This is a site-based role.
The Mechanical Engineering lead on site and primary point of contact for both the Main Contractor and Subcontractors.
Day-to-day engineering management of scope, programme and resources.
Develop junior engineers in their role when needed.
Oversee submittal and procurement process & LOGs.
On-site coordination with Main Contractor and other trades, including attending meetings as necessary.
Attendance at weekly meetings with Design Team / Main Contractor.
Develop positive relationships with all project stakeholders.
Assist the Project Manager in reporting on project status.
Day-to-day management of subcontractors on site.
Implement policies and standards, particularly relating to Health & Safety and Quality I&TP.
Commissioning and control strategy for the project.
Commissioning Lead for the project.
Assist in generation and uploading of weekly progress reports with the Project Manager.
Candidate profile
7+ years' experience in a similar role.
Be results-driven with excellent communication skills.
Experience in technical submittals.
Experience in commissioning and handover procedures.
A proven strong work ethic.
Proven experience in successful projects.
Work on own initiative and with a team.
Computer literate and familiar with MS Office, or Project.
