Role Overview
A senior opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join a team responsible for overseeing the delivery of a broad portfolio of projects and programmes. This role will focus on ensuring effective contract management, performance monitoring, and supplier engagement across multiple workstreams.
The successful candidate will lead a small team and collaborate across functions to drive improvements in contract performance, governance, and delivery processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and support a team responsible for managing contract performance and supplier engagement.
2. Help define and implement frameworks to monitor and report on key contractual and commercial metrics.
3. Act as a point of escalation for contract-related issues and contribute to problem-solving and resolution.
4. Promote continuous improvement across the contract lifecycle, embedding best practices into future ways of working.
5. Develop and deliver regular reports and performance dashboards to support informed decision-making.
6. Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
7. Coordinate governance forums or working groups to share insights and promote consistent approaches.
8. Contribute to the development of training, process improvements, and broader commercial strategy initiatives.
9. Undertake other duties aligned with the scope and seniority of the role.
Skills & Experience
10. A relevant qualification in a related discipline such as Business, Finance, Engineering, or similar.
11. Significant experience (circa 7+ years) in contract management, commercial performance, or programme delivery in a complex organisation.
12. Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing teams and promoting a high-performance culture.
13. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
14. Proven ability to manage competing priorities and drive strategic outcomes.
15. Comfortable working with performance data, reporting tools, and governance processes.
16. A collaborative, proactive, and solution-focused approach.
