The Arigna Group have been at the forefront of developing clean smokeless fuel products for the last 30 years. In line with the move towards achieving a net zero sustainable future, the Group have recently commissioned the largest Biochar plant in Europe.
The Group is entering into an exciting time, as it rolls out its renewable and sustainable product Harvest Flame into the Irish and UK markets, exploring new opportunities with Biochar in adjacent markets and also continues to evolve its current smokeless fuel product mix within Ireland & the UK.
The Group has a manufacturing facility in the West of Ireland and has a number of distribution depots in the UK. The Groups head offices are located in Arigna, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Roscommon.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will manage the finance function and provide commercial support to the management team.
The Role:
Responsible for all finance and administration to include:
Month end reporting to management.
Annual budgeting process.
Management of the accounts Team, including ensuring all Debtors and Creditor transactions and reconciliations are performed in a timely efficient manner.
Monthly stock reconciliations and valuations including supporting the operations team with carrying out stock counts.
Oversight of the Groups payroll function, including but not limited to monthly payroll reconciliations, ensuring payroll is processed in a timely basis and that all regulatory payroll returns are filed across the group in a timely manner.
Revenue reporting and reconciliations including Vat and Carbon Tax returns.
Support financial controller with the year end audit, annual tax returns and company secretarial items.
Support with the update of accounting systems and upgrades.
Support with the banking relationships.
Support other business stakeholders as and when required- namely Operations, Production, R&D, Marketing & Sales.
The Requirements:
Qualified accountant with experience working in a manufacturing environment.
2-3years PQE experience minimum required.
Good communicator with ability to influence and lead a finance team.
Strong management accounting experience/Strong financial reporting experience.
Driven, motivated and genuine interest in sustainability and ESG.
The role has huge scope to broaden and grow as the company evolves into new markets as the Groups biochar product evolves in the domestic market and adjacent markets now and into the future.
The ideal candidate should be dynamic and driven and aspire to progression within the expanding Group. The role is predominately office based and will be based in Arigna, Carrick-on- Shannon, Co. Roscommon and would suit someone living nearby in the locality or someone looking to relocate to the area. There will be a hybrid work from home element to the role.
