We are seeking an experienced
Environmental Engineer
to lead environmental compliance, regulatory engagement, and sustainability initiatives at a pharmaceutical manufacturing site operating under an
Integrated Environmental Licence (IEL)
.
This is a
primarily on-site role
with responsibility for ensuring compliance with Irish and EU environmental legislation while driving continuous improvement in environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities
Act as
Site SME
for the Integrated Environmental Licence (IEL)
Manage environmental compliance, permits, and statutory reporting (AERs)
Lead
EPA and regulatory inspections, audits, and licence reviews
Maintain and improve the
ISO ***** Environmental Management System
Oversee environmental monitoring (air, water, waste, energy, noise)
Support
EIAs / ERAs
for capital projects and process changes
Drive waste reduction, resource efficiency, and sustainability initiatives
Deliver environmental training and promote a strong EHS culture
Requirements
Degree in
Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering
, or related discipline
5+ years' experience
in environmental engineering within regulated manufacturing (pharmaceutical or chemical industry preferred)
ISO ***** Lead Auditor
certification
DGSA / Dangerous Goods
certification
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance
Experience working with regulatory authorities and audits
Site-based availability
(non-hybrid role)
Monday–Friday working pattern (core hours

)
