Mechanical Project Specialist plays a pivotal role in the development of new mining projects.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, procuring, installing and maintaining equipment to support continued site expansion.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Manage projects to ensure timely delivery in alignment with mine objectives.
2. Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
3. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports to inform engineering decisions.
4. Consult with Mine maintenance and facilities supervisor to implement operational procedures and resolve system malfunctions.
5. Lead and manage mechanical projects across mining and quarrying operations, optimizing efficiency and productivity.
6. Analyze design proposals to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
7. Specify system components to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
8. Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend corrective actions.
9. Verify that equipment is installed and functioning according to specifications, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems.
10. Conduct research on the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of equipment and systems, providing data-driven recommendations to stakeholders.
11. Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions, enhancing overall system reliability and efficiency.
