Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead our New Product Development initiatives in Ballina, Ireland. This pivotal role will drive innovation and guide cross-functional teams through the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to launch.
* Develop and implement comprehensive programme plans for NPD projects, aligning with organisational goals and strategies
* Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
* Manage programme budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring efficient allocation and utilisation
* Identify and mitigate risks throughout the product development process, implementing effective solutions
* Collaborate with customers at all levels, including senior management, to ensure programme success and alignment with business objectives
* Oversee the product development lifecycle, from ideation to market launch, ensuring quality and timely delivery
* Analyse market trends and customer feedback to inform product development strategies
* Establish and monitor key metrics to measure programme success and drive continuous improvement
* Present regular progress reports and updates to senior management and key partners.
* Facilitate effective communication and knowledge sharing across teams and departments
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
* Minimum 5-7 years of experience in programme management or product development roles
* Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects or programmes
* Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
* Expertise in product development lifecycle management
* Proficiency in budgeting, financial planning, and risk management
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Advanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira)
* Experience in leading and motivating cross-functional teams
* In-depth understanding of industry trends and best practices in NPD
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management (depending on the industry)
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Strong analytical skills with a meticulous approach
