Trainee Sales Representative
We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our sales team as a Trainee Sales Representative.
About the Role:
This 18-month program is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the meat industry, from farming to slaughtering and processing, as well as value-added activities.
You will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of the production process, including logistics and transportation.
The role involves developing sales channels, managing accounts, negotiating deals, and fostering customer relationships.
Main Responsibilities:
* Gaining a comprehensive understanding of the entire meat processing process.
* Acquiring in-depth knowledge of the industry, including product options and variations.
* Learning the sales process, commercial agreements, and margin management.
* Maximizing value for the business in all sales and contract negotiations.
* Maintaining excellent customer relationships through regular communication.
* Identifying potential new products in collaboration with the New Product Development team.
* Handling sales administration tasks efficiently.
* Acting as the sales negotiator for assigned clients and products.
* Delivering on Gross Margin targets daily, weekly, and annually.
* Achieving forecasted sales volumes by customer and region.
* Participating in production planning.
* Ensuring price compliance aligns with agreed pricing targets.
* Assisting with revenue collection in collaboration with credit management.
* Ensuring credit notes are raised weekly following established procedures.
* Confirming order details and pricing with customers upon transaction completion.
* Assisting in maintaining the master file within the SAP system.
* Logging and following up on customer complaints to ensure proper resolution.
* Building relationships with potential new customers and monitoring competitors.
* Overseeing finished goods inventory, both fresh and frozen.
* Ensuring compliance with required documentation as directed by the finance department.
* Maintaining regular communication with planning, dispatch, and transport teams to ensure customer requirements are consistently met.
