Glanua Group, and Glanua Industrial have restructured the business across Ireland and the UK to ensure that we can efficiently deliver our operations activities across multiple portfolios. The business will continue to operate as a single organization and will utilize two distinct brands for the delivery of its contracting and performance obligations.
The role of Project Director is specifically responsible for Operations on our Major Project and will be pivotal in the growth of the Glanua Industrial UK business.
The Project Director is responsible for the financial account of the Project, including its day-to-day maintenance and reporting in the UK Industrial business. They will ensure the successful delivery of the project, including health and safety performance, achieving financial KPIs, and meeting client objectives to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Director will work with senior management functions such as HSQE and Sustainability, Finance, HR, Sales, Future Business, and other Operations Directors within the Group. They will manage a team comprising operations managers, project managers, design engineers, project engineers, commercial teams, and site management and supervision.
The Project Director will have P&L responsibility for the project, including achieving margin/EBITDA targets.
Strategic Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Report to the Industrial Operations Director on monthly project performance, ensuring adequate control, progress monitoring, and risk management.
2. Report against budgeted turnover and track EBITDA targets.
3. Assist in compiling project budgets.
4. Resource the project adequately to ensure successful delivery for the client and Glanua.
5. Make strategic decisions aligned with project objectives and provide leadership to implement those decisions.
6. Implement continuous improvement and best practices.
7. Review KPIs and benchmarks regularly.
8. Ensure all activities comply with organizational, legal, and statutory HSQE and duty of care requirements.
9. Lead by example on health, safety, quality, environment, and wellbeing, ensuring HSQE messages are communicated and prioritized.
10. Report to the Industrial Operations Director and assist in developing project plans, turnover, and profit forecasts.
11. Collaborate with Commercial Management on contractual and commercial issues.
12. Empower staff to deliver excellence.
13. Support the Group's sustainability and Net Zero targets and those of the client.
14. Champion innovation within the project in line with business strategy.

3. Maintain regular communication to meet and exceed expectations.
Operational Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Plan projects and identify resource needs, including HR considerations.
2. Ensure the successful delivery of the project.
3. Define clear roles and responsibilities within the delivery team.
4. Oversee recruitment, development, and retention of project staff.
5. Manage contract negotiations with the commercial team and clients.
6. Improve operational activities and ensure SOP compliance.
7. Drive construction progress and hold regular meetings.
8. Promote a culture of innovation.
9. Assist in devising cost-effective plans and managing risks.
10. Supervise project management teams and ensure proper procurement and supply chain engagement.
11. Support the use of digital delivery tools and provide feedback for improvements.
Reporting Duties:
1. Prepare monthly performance reports.
2. Update re-budget projections as needed.
3. Conduct quarterly performance reviews.
Meeting Attendance Duties:
1. Attend project meetings as necessary.
2. Participate in monthly management team meetings.
3. Hold regular 1-2-1 updates with the Industrial Operations Director.
