Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Management Accountant to join our growing team. This mid-level role is ideal for a qualified (or part-qualified) finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys combining hands-on transactional work with analytical responsibilities. You will play a key role in ensuring robust financial processes, accurate reporting, and effective business partnering across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Accounts Payable & Purchase Orders -
Process purchase orders and AP invoices for approval and payment.
* Management Reporting
* Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs, including variance analysis and commentary.
* Budgeting & Planning
* Update project plans and budgets in Microsoft Project and assist with periodic reforecasting.
* Audit Support
* Assist in managing year-end audit procedures and liaise with external auditors as required.
* Financial Modelling & Ad-Hoc Analysis
* Support financial modelling and provide ad-hoc data analysis to support presentations for internal and external stakeholders including regulators, shareholders and senior management.
* Business Partnering -
Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making across the business.
* Process Improvement
* Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of accounting processes and internal controls.
* Support Tasks
* Assist with document preparation for governance meetings and maintain accurate financial records in line with company standards.
Education, Skills & Other Requirements
* Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred; part-qualified candidates will be considered.
* Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in management reporting.
* Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in Xero, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Project (preferred but not essential).
* Financial Modelling & Ad-Hoc Analysis
* Support financial modelling and provide ad-hoc data analysis to inform decision-making.
* Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) for effective business partnering.
* Previous experience in energy infrastructure or capital-intensive projects is advantageous but not essential.
* Holds current authorisation to work in the the Republic of Ireland.
Working Pattern & Location
* Hybrid working: 3 days per week in our Dublin office
* Occasional travel to other offices may be required
