NEXUS Foundation CLG is an early‑stage Irish non‑profit based in Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim. We focus on developing practical and ethical solutions at the intersection of human‑centered AI and local energy independence.
We are currently seeking up to three volunteer board members to join our founding team and help shape the direction of the organisation:
Role 1 — Legal & Governance
Experience in charity law, company administration, or non‑profit governance. Ability to support CRO compliance, board structure, and regulatory responsibilities.
Role 2 — Technology & AI
Background in IT, software development, or artificial intelligence. Interest in open‑source tools, local AI systems, or decentralized digital infrastructure is a strong advantage.
Role 3 — Fundraising & Grants
Experience in fundraising, grant writing, or securing public funding. Familiarity with Irish and EU programmes (e.g., SEAI, LEADER, Enterprise Ireland) would be highly valuable.
About us:
We are building a foundation focused on practical innovation — combining local AI development and modular energy systems to support resilient, independent communities. Alongside the foundation, we operate an active workshop space (Bad Batch Garage) where early‑stage concepts are explored and prototyped.
We are looking for people who are:
Curious and open‑minded
Comfortable with early‑stage projects
Interested in meaningful, future‑oriented work
Time commitment:
approximately 4–6 hours per month
Location:
Remote participation welcome, with occasional in‑person meetings in Leitrim
