Project Engineer Role
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the design development of water and wastewater treatment contracts, collaborating with the project manager in preparing delivery documentation, and liaising with design teams and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the development of contract designs from early concept stage through to detailed design and construction stages.
* Collaborate with the project manager in preparing delivery documentation including technical submissions, managing sub-consultant submissions, and preparing regulatory health and safety documentation.
* Liaise with design teams and suppliers, manage subcontractors, installation personnel, and commissioning teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
* Evaluate client specifications and communicate with clients and their representatives.
Requirements:
* Hold a minimum NFQ Level 7 degree in engineering or a related science discipline.
* Have practical site experience and a proven track record of working effectively as part of a project team from initial stages to delivery.
* Be able to work independently and effectively manage and coordinate design/site activities.
* Have experience in executing water/wastewater engineering projects is desirable.
Working Conditions:
The role will involve a mix of office/site-based and remote working, Monday to Friday, with occasional travel required to sites in Ireland.
