Senior Project Engineer A leading food manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join their engineering team in Kildare, offering a highly competitive salary and excellent career progression opportunities. Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Project Engineer to lead and deliver key engineering initiatives across their production sites. Role Based in Kildare, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering strategic engineering projects and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include: Leading engineering projects focused on capacity improvements, process optimisation, and cost reduction Supporting new product introduction through equipment and process enhancements Developing and executing strategic plans to support production growth Managing the full lifecycle of projects, from concept through to commissioning and validation Acting as a key interface between engineering, operations, and planning teams Driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles Managing project budgets, timelines, and KPI reporting Providing technical leadership, mentoring, and development within the engineering team Ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality, and food safety standards Person We are keen to speak with candidates who meet the following criteria: Degree qualified in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or similar) Strong project engineering experience within manufacturing environments (food industry experience highly advantageous) Demonstrated experience delivering complex engineering projects Experience managing teams and driving performance Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Strong technical problem-solving ability with excellent communication skills Experience managing budgets and delivering projects within financial targets Package Basic Salary: €75,000 - €90,000 Strong benefits package Excellent long-term career progression opportunities within a growing organisation Location Kildare BMS Performance specialises in recruiting Engineering professionals nationwide.
