Flexsource is currently recruiting Production Operatives for our client based in Baltinglass, Co. Wicklow.
The Production Operator works as part of a team, responsible for assembling an entire product or component. Tasks will vary based on business needs.
KEY RESULT AREAS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Adhere to the weekly production schedule and build the order quantity specified on the production Works Order to fulfill customer orders and manage finished goods stock levels cost-effectively.
2. Communicate effectively with the area supervisor and production team to resolve issues promptly and ensure appropriate staffing.
3. Maintain a clean working environment and participate in lean/5S initiatives.
4. Comply with standard operating procedures, policies, and quality systems within the production area.
5. Produce products in accordance with quality systems and BOM.
6. Follow Health and Safety requirements, liaise with H&S representatives, and participate in risk assessments and SOPs as needed.
7. Adapt to training requirements, be flexible for job rotation, and support new staff.
8. Attend communication meetings to stay informed about production and business issues.
9. Report machine problems and quality concerns accurately and promptly to your supervisor.
10. Use tools and equipment responsibly.
11. Work as part of an assembly line team, performing repetitive tasks accurately.
12. Operate various assembly tools with good hand-eye coordination.
13. Ensure correct assembly, minimize time, material, and wastage.
14. Be flexible to work in other departments or roles as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience in manufacturing is an advantage but not essential.
EHS Considerations:
Activities include riveting, wheel pressing, manual and powered assembly, nuttling, product packing, tapping, and rubber cutting. Minimal manual handling within individual capabilities, with lifting equipment and training provided. Adequate lighting, ergonomic setup, and footrests are available to ensure safety and comfort.
