Business Development Manager
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded professional with a strong network in the Construction and/or Engineering sectors to join a dynamic team and make a significant impact.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients in the Construction and Engineering sectors, identifying and securing new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation, and developing and executing strategic business development plans for key accounts.
Key responsibilities include:
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients in the Construction and Engineering sectors
* Identifying and securing new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation
* Developing and executing strategic business development plans for key accounts
* Maintaining a healthy sales pipeline aligned with production and supply chain teams
* Becoming an expert in the company's value proposition, products, and services to maximise upselling and cross-selling opportunities
* Accurately updating CRM and ERP systems with enquiries, quotes, and orders
* Providing monthly performance reports to senior leadership
* Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy
* Supporting ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required
Candidate requirements include:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a Business Development role within the Construction or Engineering sectors
* Proven success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)
* Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with a proactive and customer-focused mindset
* Excellent communicator with the ability to articulate value propositions clearly
* Collaborative team player with cross-functional communication skills
* Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences
* Professional, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM, and ERP systems
