Exceptional HSE Lead required to join RINA's Transport Project Engineering capability in Ireland. Your role will be to manage, develop and maintain the Health, Safety & Welfare plan for the country's complex Rail Transformation Programme, Metrolink.
This role will be based in Dublin, Ireland. 2 year Fixed Term Contract.
Responsibilities will include:
* Ensure compliance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and related regulations;
* Develop and communicate a comprehensive, site-specific Safety and Health Plan;
* Coordinate with contractors to implement safe work procedures and access control;
* Check that all workers hold valid safety awareness certifications (Safe Pass, CSCS);
* Ensure emergency procedures are prepared, communicated, and integrated into site plans;
* Conduct regular safety inspections and audits; enforce corrective actions;
* Maintain health and safety documentation and report incidents to the HSA;
* Notify HSA when project thresholds are met;
* Liaise with HSA inspectors and ensure cooperation during site visits.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
* 15 years' experience in Health and Safety, of which 7+ years' +specialism across major infrastructure, construction or engineering projects, preferably Rail;
* Demonstrable expertise in leading the design and development of HSE solutions for complex infrastructure & construction transformation programmes;
* Fully conversant with Health & Safety compliance regulations;
* Successful leadership experience, demonstrating ability to be an authority for HSSE across a complex stakeholder community;
* Experience of integrating Health & Safety into Management Systems and creating KPIs;
* Have attained a Safety and Health Qualification (e.g. degree, diploma), as well as ISO45001 knowledge;
* Ideally be a member of Institution of Occupational Safety & Health body or other relevant bodies;
* Preferably you will be an Irish citizen, or have right to work in a permanent position.
