We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chartered Civil & Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Ireland. As a Chartered Civil & Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing technical leadership. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, project managers, and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Design & Management: Lead the structural and civil engineering design for projects from concept through to completion, including new builds, renovations, and infrastructure projects.
* Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance on structural and civil engineering matters, ensuring designs meet the required standards and codes of practice.
* Site Supervision & Inspection: Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
* Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering disciplines, architects, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive and integrated project delivery.
* Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all designs and construction activities comply with relevant Irish and EU regulations, including health and safety standards.
* Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed engineering reports, calculations, and documentation for projects. Review and approve design submissions from junior engineers.
* Sustainability & Innovation: Incorporate sustainable design practices and innovative solutions to improve project efficiency and environmental impact.
* Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing technical advice and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
* Mentorship: Support the development of junior engineers by providing mentorship, guidance, and training opportunities.
Requirements:
* Chartered Status: Must be a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with Engineers Ireland or equivalent.
* Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years of post-chartered experience in civil and structural engineering, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
* Technical Expertise: Proficient in structural analysis and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, STAAD, etc.) and a deep understanding of construction materials, methods, and regulations.
* Knowledge of Standards: Thorough knowledge of Eurocodes, Irish building regulations, and other relevant industry standards.
* Project Management Skills: Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
* Driving Licence: A valid Irish driving licence is required, as the role may involve travel to various sites.
