About this role
As an IT Infrastructure Manager, you will play a key role in managing and maintaining the Group Infrastructure and Engineering teams across European locations. The successful candidate will have responsibility for overseeing and managing multiple locations and vendor solutions, as well as supporting business and IT project implementations.
Main responsibilities
* Engage with key managed service providers to maintain and develop secure, highly available infrastructure designed to meet 24/7 business operations.
* Manage a dynamic team of individuals, seeking creative ways to elevate technology systems to meet business needs.
* Analyse infrastructure requirements and dependencies for new projects, recommending infrastructure solutions and migration strategies compliant with future state enterprise infrastructure.
* Make continuous improvements to ensure the Group infrastructure meets business needs, mitigating, monitoring and managing infrastructure related risks.
* Evaluate new server methodologies and technologies, participating in product evaluations, selection criteria, and deployment of emerging technologies.
Requirements
* At least 5 years of IT experience, including managing technical teams responsible for infrastructure management, design and deployment, systems lifecycle management and infrastructure planning and operations.
* Experience in areas such as server design and administration, data centre operations, database administration.
* Relevant industry certifications, Microsoft, Azure, VMWare etc. Exposure to cloud infrastructure a benefit.
* Strong management and people development skills, understanding of ITIL practices.
* Ability to think logically and demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills.
* Experience of working on infrastructure integration projects involving different designs and vendors.
