Radiology Assistant Job Description
As a Radiology Assistant, you will play a vital role in the Diagnostic Imaging Department. Your primary duties and responsibilities include assisting Radiographers with various tasks, such as welcoming patients, escorting them to examination rooms, and checking patient screening forms.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist Radiographers during all Diagnostic Imaging examinations, including changing, moving, and lifting of patients & equipment.
* Verify labels have been printed for iv gad & Buscopan patients.
* Demonstrate respect for the patient at all times and maintain confidentiality of discussed information.
* Monitor Ultrasound vetted in-patient list on RIS system and coordinate with wards regarding patient transport and preparation for ultrasound examination.
* Maintain general housekeeping standards in the Ultrasound Department.
Requirements:
* A Fetac/QQI Level 5 qualification in Health/Social Care is essential.
* Previous experience in a Radiography Department is highly desirable.
* Excellent interpersonal and team building skills are required.
