Seeking an experienced Speech Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team at a leading hospital in Dublin. The successful candidate will work with patients undergoing or recovering from cancer treatments, providing expert care and support.
Role
This role is ideal for a Speech Therapist who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and has experience working in an acute hospital setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and managing adult oro-pharyngeal dysphagia, communication disorders and other related conditions.
* Assess and manage adult oro-pharyngeal dysphagia and communication disorders in an acute hospital setting
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care to patients undergoing or recovering from cancer treatments
* Communicate effectively with patients, families and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
Requirements
* CORU registration as a Speech Therapist
* 3 years post-graduate experience in the field
* Experience working with patients who have undergone (chemo)radiotherapy treatment and/or patients with head and neck cancer is desirable
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
