About The Role
As we continue to expand to provide additional services to meet the needs of those we care for, we currently have a number of opportunities within our Orchard Community Care division, in Carlow including this key role of Person in Charge (Social Care Leader).
The purpose of the role is to provide the highest possible standards of support to those who use Orchard Community Care service. To ensure the service is in line with appropriate Government and Health Service Executive (HSE) Policy. Within that context, the Manager will be expected to work autonomously and with initiative.
The ideal candidate would preferably have experience working with autism. The Manager will act as the Person in Charge for existing services ensuring compliance with the Department of Health Regulations and HIQA Standards.

Essential Criteria:
* A minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory role in health or social care
* A professional degree (minimum level 7) in Applied Social Studies or relevant qualification
* Level 6 Management qualification
* Proven track record managing a residential service meeting quality and regulatory requirements
* Experience in report writing, personal support plans, people and roster management
* Full current driving license and access to a vehicle
* Excellent IT skills
* Good knowledge of legislative/regulatory requirements
Service Delivery
* Lead on shift when on duty
* Provide direct care following care plans and protocols
* Assess needs and develop individual care plans
* Implement care interventions and monitor outcomes
Training & Development
* Assist in training and orienting new team members
* Organise and facilitate training programs
Compliance & Documentation
* Maintain accurate documentation of care plans and assessments
* Ensure timely completion of documentation by team members
Quality Assurance
* Implement quality improvement initiatives
* Conduct audits to ensure standards are met
Communication & Collaboration
* Promote a positive team environment and effective communication
