Now Hiring in Cork: Customer-Facing DevOps / Scripting Engineer

rConfig is a fast-growing Irish network automation platform used by organisations across Europe and the US. We build secure, high-quality tooling for network and security teams — and we work closely with customers as they deploy, migrate, and automate their environments.
This role sits right in the middle of that. You'll support customer onboarding and technical delivery, while also working on internal automation, data pipelines, migration processes, and infrastructure improvements. If you don't have customer-facing experience, you won't be a fit — it's a core part of the job.
What you'll be doing:
* Leading and supporting customer-facing technical projects
* Writing automation and scripting (Python, PHP, Bash)
* Managing data imports, transformation workflows, and migrations
* Working with MySQL and PostgreSQL for schema, performance, and data issues
* Linux systems work (tuning, troubleshooting, packaging, deployment)
* SSO/LDAP integrations and identity workflows
* Contributing to internal development, tooling, and reliability projects
Must-have experience:
* Strong scripting skills (Python, PHP, Bash)
* MySQL & PostgreSQL
* Linux systems troubleshooting
* Data import/migration/ETL workflows
* LDAP/SSO familiarity (SAML/OIDC is a plus)
* Proven customer-facing or consulting experience —
essential
* Must already live in Cork or within a practical commute
Nice to have:
* Networking fundamentals
* Config/automation tooling experience
* Monitoring/observability exposure
