Materials Manager
Longford
Lincoln are pleased to be working with a repeat client to recruit a Materials Manager for their manufacturing facility in Longford. The role is fast paced and will manage key internal relationships, along with supplier, logistics and 3PL relationships.

Responsibilities:
* Supplier Sourcing and Evaluation: Identify and assess suppliers to ensure they meet required standards for quality, pricing, and reliability to support long-term partnerships.
* Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain strong, professional relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality, timely deliveries, and mutually beneficial agreements.
* Market Analysis: Track and evaluate market trends to identify opportunities, risks, and areas to adjust procurement strategies.
* Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and place orders to maintain optimal inventory.
* Quality Assurance: Verify that products and materials meet established specifications and standards.
* Compliance: Ensure adherence to procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing practices.
* Cost Management: Analyze and manage purchasing expenses to achieve financial objectives.
* Risk Management: Proactively assess and mitigate risks to ensure supply continuity and regulatory compliance.
* Data-Driven Procurement Analysis: Use procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve purchasing decisions, and forecast demand.
* Supplier Records Management: Maintain an up-to-date list of supplier contacts (including emergency details) and ensure contracts are properly documented and aligned with organizational requirements.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree required: Preferred disciplines: Operations, Supply Chain Management, or Business Management.
* 3+ years’ job-related experience
* Ability to operate in a matrixed environment with the ability to influence & persuade key stakeholders and to constructively deal with conflicts.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams
