My client, a specialist in international import and export logistics, is seeking to recruit an experienced
International Transport Planner
for an immediate start.
Main responsibilities include:
Interact with customers via email and phone to provide updates on their consignments.
Receive and book transport movements from clients, ensuring accurate scheduling.
Assign vehicles and trailers to transport movements and communicate instructions to drivers.
Administer Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation and manage job pricing efficiently.
Maintain clear and timely communication with clients regarding all logistics matters.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
2-3yrs experience as a Transport Planner/Administrator
Understanding of driver hours, breaks, and loading limits.
Basic knowledge of Customs procedures between the UK and Ireland is an advantage.
Strong IT literacy and proficiency in spoken and written English (second language acceptable).
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing transport operations.
Flexibility to work on a Monday to Friday schedule, including occasional Saturday shifts post-training.
