**Job Description**
We are seeking a seasoned and driven Senior Branch Director to lead the operational and sales functions of a high-performing branch. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on strategic growth, efficiency, and team management across key performance metrics.
Main Responsibilities:
* Take full ownership of branch performance, driving sales and profitability through effective decision-making and resource allocation.
* Develop and maintain relationships with large-scale builders and contractors, leading high-value negotiations to secure long-term partnerships.
* Oversee daily branch operations, including stock management, purchasing, and supplier engagement to ensure seamless execution and timely delivery.
* Lead, support, and develop the sales team to achieve individual and branch targets while delivering exceptional customer service and experience.
* Manage customer accounts, pricing structures, and contracts in collaboration with the credit control team to ensure alignment and compliance.
* Ensure the yard operates safely and efficiently, conducting regular checks and maintenance on trucks and forklifts to prevent accidents and downtime.
* Monitor branch KPIs, continuously identifying areas for improvement and growth through data analysis and benchmarking.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven track record in sales, with strong experience negotiating with large-scale or key clients.
* Demonstrated leadership ability with strong people management and team development skills.
* Experience in stock control, purchasing, and supplier relationship management.
* Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and developing long-term customer relationships.
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse or yard environment.
