About Technical Sales Representative Role
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced sales professional with a passion for construction and groundworks solutions to drive business growth and expansion in our Hire and Sales team.
You will lead the charge in securing orders across our full range of groundworks products and services, building strong customer relationships, and delivering exceptional service from initial contact through to deal closure.
This is a key role within a fast-paced, forward-thinking company where your commercial acumen and relationship-building skills will directly drive success.
Main Responsibilities
* Build and nurture long-lasting customer relationships both over the phone and face-to-face.
* Secure new business opportunities and expand existing client base.
* Meet or exceed agreed sales targets and revenue objectives.
* Deliver timely and effective customer service, providing expert advice and outstanding care.
* Maintain accurate records and updates in CRM systems.
* Stay up-to-date on product suite, pricing, and sales collateral.
* Provide quick and effective responses to customer enquiries and quotations.
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity, reporting insights regularly to management.
* Collaborate with Business Development Managers, Engineers, and Branch staff to drive project success.
Key Requirements
* Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience within the construction or civil engineering sectors.
* Results-driven with a solid track record of meeting weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPIs.
* Skilled communicator with the ability to build rapport and close deals effectively.
* Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
* Full driving license (clean preferred).
* Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness.
* Self-motivated with excellent planning and time-management abilities.
