Adventure Management Opportunity

* Leads and manages the Adventure Department to ensure safe, successful, and profitable operations while delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develops systems and strategies for effective departmental management.
* Manages recruitment, training, performance, and development of team members.
* Oversees training standards and maintains qualifications in specialist activity areas.
* Plans and oversees outdoor activity programmes for guests.
* Maintains safety regulations, risk assessments, equipment checks, and incident records.
* Monitors weather and environmental conditions for guest and staff safety.
* Assists with departmental budgeting, labour costs, and financial planning.
* Collaborates with senior management on compliance, insurance, and cross-department initiatives.
* Establishes relationships with industry stakeholders such as Failte Ireland and ATTA.
Required Education, Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualifications and experience in a variety of outdoor activities, including at least two relevant instructorships (e.g. RCI, CWI, ERCA).
* Up-to-date First Aid certification.
* Previous management experience in a similar adventure/outdoor role.
* Desirable: Third-level qualification in business management, outdoor education, leadership, recreation, or sports-related discipline.
* Hospitality or adventure industry experience.
* Skills: Strong leadership and motivational abilities.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Proven ability to manage budgets and achieve labour cost KPIs.
* Project management, planning, and organisational skills.
* Decision-making and problem-solving ability under pressure.
* Flexibility to work weekends and adapt to business needs.
