We are hiring a Temporary Clinical Nurse Manager 2 - Mental Health to a hospital in Dublin.Temporary, Full time.
Contract Type: Temporary (6 months), Full-Time Working Hours: 78 hours per fortnight (equivalent to 39 hours per week) Responsibilities Provide strategic and operational leadership, coordination, and management of nursing services in line with national and regulatory standards and best practice.
Ensure nursing service delivery achieves the highest standards of care, treatment, and patient safety.
Maintain full compliance with all regulatory programmes, including Health Safety and Risk Management requirements.
Act as an effective and visible leader, applying knowledge and experience to deliver and support operational change programmes within the nursing service.
Work collaboratively with residents, families, carers, nursing staff, and the wider care team in goal setting and care planning.
Actively participate in the multidisciplinary healthcare team, fostering cooperation and effective communication across all disciplines.
Ensure all clinical practices, procedures, and policies align with the organisation's service objectives and strategic plans.
Requirements Be a Registered Psychiatric Nurse with An Bord Altranais / NMBI registration, or be eligible to register.
Have a minimum of five years' post-qualification experience, including at least two years in a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 role.
Demonstrate experience working in a healthcare or hospital setting, including acute mental health services.
Clinical experience in palliative care is desirable.
Possess the requisite knowledge and capability, including a high standard of clinical, managerial, and administrative competence.
Demonstrate experience in staff management, budgetary control, and workforce planning.
Have in-depth knowledge of Mental Health Commission requirements, clinical leadership, and governance structures.
Demonstrate clinical experience of working within a multidisciplinary clinical team and a strong understanding of Clinical Governance principles and operations.
Demonstrate the ability to lead, teach, manage, and participate in practice education of students and registered nurses, and to actively promote education, training, and professional support of others.
Demonstrate knowledge and experience of health, safety, and other statutory regulations impacting healthcare organisations.
Provide evidence of ongoing continuing professional and personal development (CPD).
