Job Overview:
1. About the Role:
* The Pricing team plays a crucial part in shaping and enabling sophisticated pricing strategies, helping to maintain competitiveness in winning new business and driving market presence.
* The team has a strong technical, data, and analytical capability that supports the bid lifecycle through developing tools to accelerate processes, automation, reengineering, and transformation of existing processes, giving underwriters more time on bid development and strategy.
2. Responsibilities:
* Engage with stakeholders to understand strategic requirements for solution delivery
* Develop data-driven solutions to deliver tools and analyses meeting requirements, independently or as part of the team
* Develop automated, scalable, robust, and well-structured analytical tools and solutions
* Interrogate data to shape analyses
* Recommend innovative ideas and procedures to improve existing strategies
* Establish strong working relationships with key partners across the business
* Present to various organizational roles and hierarchy levels
* Ensure solutions and recommendations are integrated into the business and drive value
* Work effectively and cooperatively as a member of a project team
3. Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent experience (mathematics, physics, engineering, finance, economics)
* Extensive experience in analytical roles using SQL and at least one procedural language (Python, R)
4. Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience creating visualizations using Tableau or similar to tell a compelling story with data and deliver actionable insights
* Experience in managed healthcare or pharmacy benefit management
* Experience in Spark/MS Azure
* Experience working with transactional data
