About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join a multidisciplinary rehabilitation and residential care service supporting adults with acquired brain injury, neurological conditions, complex trauma, and long-term care needs.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centered assessment and intervention services, working closely with residents, families, carers and the wider multidisciplinary team to maximize communication, swallowing, independence and quality of life outcomes.
This role would suit a clinician who is passionate about neurological rehabilitation, person-centered care and working collaboratively to achieve meaningful outcomes for residents.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication and dysphagia assessments.
Develop, implement and review evidence-based treatment plans.
Manage a varied neurological and complex care caseload.
Participate in interdisciplinary assessment, rehabilitation planning and discharge processes.
Provide education, training and support to families, carers and staff.
Maintain accurate clinical records and reports in line with professional and legal standards.
Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives and accreditation standards.
Support junior staff, students and therapy assistants where appropriate.
Work collaboratively with internal and external healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated resident care.
Requirements
Degree or MSc in Speech and Language Therapy.
Current CORU registration.
Experience working with adults presenting with neurological conditions, acquired brain injury, dysphagia and complex communication needs.
Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and report writing skills.
Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities.
Full clean driving licence desirable.
