Purpose of Role
We are currently looking for an ambitious Junior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team.
The successful candidate will demonstrate all aspects of mechanical design, technical skills, gain hands on project experience, and work closely with senior engineers on diverse mechanical engineering projects.
This role is based in Dublin, Ireland.
Responsibilities
Assist in reviewing drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure compliance with applicable standards and project requirements.
Support the team to ensure works are installed according to Project specifications and QA plan.
Support the development of engineering alternative solutions, including calculations and sketches, for review and approval by senior engineers and clients.
Familiarise with Design/IFC specifications and drawings to understand the project scope and assist in ensuring compliance with specifications and schedule priorities.
Assist in generating and managing Requests for Information (RFIs) to submit to the client.
Support the review of coordinated construction drawings and documentation.
Assist in preparing technical submittals for client approval.
Assist in reviewing specialist supplier packages to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and design intent.
Prepare and monitor procurement schedules in coordination with the procurement team.
Support the review of BCAR preliminary inspection plans and coordinate with the quality team as required.
Assist as required with onsite activities including set up of automated setting out machines and quality control inspections.
Role Requirements
A Level 7/8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering
1+ years' experience in similar industry is desirable.
Good IT skills and familiarity with AutoCAD, Navisworks and Microsoft Office Packages.
Ability to work in a team and on own initiative
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
