We continuously invest in our people and in the latest technology which results in high levels of efficiency, accuracy, and safety for our customers. We are now seeking a Production Manager to lead our Cheese Cutting and Packing facility.
Role Description
Reporting to the Senior Management Team, the Production Manager will lead all Production Operations to consistently achieve delivery, cost, quality and safety targets. Key priorities include maintaining high levels of operational performance through efficient production strategies, ensuring compliance with food safety and environmental regulations, and driving a culture of continuous improvement using Lean and other best practices. The role requires a proactive approach to data‑driven problem‑solving, team leadership and cross‑functional collaboration to optimise business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and oversee production to meet required schedules and prescribed requirements in an efficient manner.
Ensure all products meet internal and external quality and safety standards and regulatory requirements, and that all production activities adhere to environmental standards and company policies.
Ensure transparency in performance, report on compliance and present updates to Senior Management as required.
Enable process optimisation and continuous improvement by applying Lean principles and best practice.
Work collaboratively across the business to ensure productivity and cost reduction.
Cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment, embrace and develop the quality culture and identify and facilitate opportunities for personnel and work practice development.
Key Attributes
Proven ability to lead a production facility while meeting cost, quality and output targets.
Knowledge of and experience in ensuring high standards of quality, safety, regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
Excellent communication skills and collaboration across a cross‑functional team.
Sound problem‑solving skills and ability to implement effective solutions in a timebound manner.
