Role Purpose:
This role involves accurate calculation and processing of partner payments, acting as a point of consultation for commercial teams to resolve issues and ensure data integrity related to partner balances.
Key Responsibilities
1. Liaising with stakeholders to ensure prompt resolution of partner-related queries, accurate capture of commercial changes by finance, and sharing of key information across functions.
2. Accurate processing of costs/accruals in the financial system, ensuring proper coding to relevant ledger accounts.
3. Owning monthly analysis and reconciliation of partner balances & costs.
4. Maintaining up-to-date records of invoices/statements.
5. Management of scheduled payment runs including:
* Validation of partner balances for payment, seeking approvals where necessary
* Preparation of payment journals from the bank
* Posting payments to the financial system
* Reconciliation of payments and creditor accounts, liaison with the bank to resolve queries.
6. Supporting debt collection for partners receiving direct payments from customers.
7. Issuing monthly statements to partners.
8. Accurate allocation of funds received in the accounting system, adjusting accounts accordingly.
9. Pursuing aged balances proactively.
10. Escalation with manager and Partner Relationship Management team where necessary.
11. Monitoring mailboxes to ensure timely email responses.
12. Assistance with audit requests in a timely and accurate manner.
13. Supporting the finance team in delivering timely and accurate management financial information.
14. Collaboration with the Finance team on various projects and day-to-day operations.
15. Improvement of reporting processes for efficiency through engagement with stakeholders.
