Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for advising on contractual matters, processing claims and associated records, and identifying opportunities to maximize revenue and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Advise on contractual matters at both general and project levels
* Process contractual claims and all associated records
* Identify and investigate losses, opportunities to maximize revenue and reduce costs
* Assist with project cash management
* Advise and support with project correspondence
* Negotiate and agree subcontractors' terms and conditions
* Negotiate subcontractors' prices and terms
* Ensure final accounts are closed in a timely manner
* Prepare and review monthly cost reports
* Review and update Risk Registers, variation trackers, and extension of time tracker sheets
* Negotiate subcontractors' and suppliers' final accounts
Requirements:
* At least 4-5 years of experience in Ireland or the UK on civil engineering projects
* Construction or Quantity Surveying qualification
* Able to achieve demanding time and quality targets
* Good IT skills, including competency in Cubit, Cost-ex or equivalent, Microsoft Word, and Excel
* Ability to attend training and develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills
* Ability to coordinate several different projects simultaneously
* Understanding and experience of construction procedures, methodology, and specifications
Benefits:
Salary: €50k-€65k (Intermediate), €70k-€80k (Senior) DOE Benefits package
