The job in a nutshell: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Procurement Manager to join the small but expanding procurement team on a permanent basis.
As a Procurement Manager at Mitie, you will play a key role in delivering strategic procurement initiatives that support our commercial and operational objectives.
You will work cross-functionally to drive supplier performance, bid support, and ensure our supply chain reflects Mities commitment to social value, innovation, and sustainability while also achieving value for money.
Key responsibilities: Manage overall direction, coordination, communication and evaluation of Procurement in Ireland Implement best-in-class procurement and supplier management practices aligned with Mities commercial and operational goals.
Creating and managing a robust and effective supply chain across all areas of operation both in terms of geographic spread and service range Set policy and guidelines for delivering commercial and cost-effective procuring process for the business Preform procurement activities including pre-qualification, tender management, supplier management, negotiations and preparation of contracts.
Identify cost reduction opportunities and category strategies to achieve cost reduction plan Managing a pre-engagement vetting and compliance-checking programme Delivering an end-to-end sourcing service for specific Client / Account requirements, including: Evaluation of potential suppliers in the market and pre-sourcing Management of the process Arranging and conducting supplier interviews / meetings / presentations Devising and delivering effective scoring and evaluation methodology Complete contract negotiations Managing novations of existing suppliers where appropriate Advising Clients and internal teams on; Potential suppliers for specific service ranges and portfolios Best practice methodology for sourcing-action Benchmark costs for specific services and specific locations Maintaining current overview of industry trends and best practice and regularly briefing Senior Leadership Management and Account Directors Preparing written briefing documents on specific Supply Chain and Sourcing topics (i.e.
new technologies, case studies, proposals) for distribution and use across the Business.
Support new business, rebids, and project opportunities through early engagement with stakeholders and commercial teams.
Provide procurement input to bids, ensuring competitive and compliant supply chain solutions.
Ensuring supply-chain compliance across all FM operations including statutory, contractual and client governance Additionally, this role is to include initial dedication to a specific client account which will include: Delivery of a major re-procurement exercise Designing a delivery programme for on-going supplier compliance checks and maintaining full documentation to support Full end-to-end supplier review to include: Contract terms Risk assessment Opportunities for supply-chain improvement About you: Team player with excellent organisational skills Strong commercial and contract negotiation skills Knowledge of the Facilities Management sector and particularly the hard-services areais a bonus Experience of delivering a full supply-chain management and sourcing service Experience of building and developing robust supply chains and supplier relationships Relevant Facilities Management contract management experience, category or vendor management Experience in supporting RFPs and commercial contract reviews Demonstrated working knowledge of sourcing and procurement methodologies and concepts, and P2 P process and controls Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet targeted deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language Self-starter with strong work ethic, ability to exercise good judgment, results oriented and have attention to detail Ability to challenge the status quo with a continuous improvement mindset.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make structured decisions on a routine basis.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with personnel at all levels in a team environment.
Bachelors degree in supply chain management or related field CIPS qualification or equivalent preferred Minimum of 5+ years experience in vendor management / sourcing functions, preferably in a Facilities Management and EU regulated environment.
Proven experience in commercial resolutions and problem solving with vendors in Facilities/Construction environment.
